Bed Bridge ("we," "our," or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy and the privacy of patients whose information may be processed through our platform. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard information when you use our healthcare coordination platform, including when we communicate with you via SMS/text messaging.

Account Information

When your organization provisions your account, we collect:

  • Name and email address
  • Job title and role
  • Facility affiliation
  • Mobile phone number (used for SMS notifications, if you opt in)
  • Login credentials (securely hashed)

Usage Information

We automatically collect certain information when you use the Service:

  • Log data (IP address, browser type, access times)
  • Device information
  • Pages visited and features used
  • Authentication events for security auditing

3. HIPAA and Protected Health Information

Bed Bridge is designed to operate as a HIPAA-compliant Business Associate. When processing protected health information (PHI) on behalf of covered entities, we do so under the terms of a Business Associate Agreement (BAA). PHI is used only to provide the coordination services you request, and we implement appropriate administrative, technical, and physical safeguards.

4. How We Use Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Provide and improve the Bed Bridge platform
  • Facilitate bed coordination and referral workflows between facilities
  • Send operational SMS and email notifications you have opted into
  • Maintain security, audit logs, and HIPAA compliance
  • Respond to your inquiries and provide support

5. Data Retention

PHI from completed or cancelled referrals is automatically deleted 5 days after the referral closes, consistent with HIPAA minimum necessary standards. Account information is retained for the duration of your organization's active relationship with Bed Bridge.
